Second-round draft pick Ricky Ledo played his first game for the Texas Legends on Saturday in Frisco.
The Mavericks sent Ledo to their NBA Development League affiliate so he can get much-needed playing time. Ledo, 21, was the 43rd pick in the June draft.
“He needs to play, needs experience,” Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. “He’s not getting any playing time here. This is just the right time to get him some run. So we’ll see how long."
