With the Celtics opening their season tonight in Toronto as New England zeroes in on Fenway Park, Jeff Green has drawn a connection.
“New coach, fresh faces, like the Red Sox the past couple of years,” Green said after yesterday’s practice. “They are my inspiration. I watched them the last couple of years, and no one thought they would be at the point they’re at right now."
“We’re in a similar position where we have guys not a lot of people know. (Rajon) Rondo will be our (David) Ortiz, and we just follow his lead. We just have to go out there, play hard and give it our all.”
