The Heat trimmed its roster to the maximum-permitted 15 by releasing forward Eric Griffin and center Justin Hamilton on Saturday.
Griffin, an undrafted player from Campbell who flashed considerable athleticism in preseason games and practices, said Friday he is considering playing in China.
Hamilton, the Heat’s second-round pick out of LSU in 2012, said he would consider an offer from the NBA’s Development League.
The Heat opens the regular season at home Tuesday night against Chicago.
