The Spurs have unveiled their new military-inspired uniforms on the team web site. The jerseys are part of the NBA’s Pride Uniform Collection, a new initiative inspired by each team’s core identity and the city/region they represent.
The fatigue-style uniforms, which will be worn for the first time against Washington on Nov. 13, are a nod to San Antonio’s strong military roots. According to the Spurs’ press release, more than 300,000 active and retired military and government workers live in and around the city. The Spurs will also wear the uniforms against Charlotte on Feb. 13.
