Charlotte Bobcats guard Ben Gordon will be out at least a week after a knee procedure to relieve soreness in his right knee.
Gordon flew to Phoenix for the procedure, coach Steve Clifford said before Saturday’s matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. That effectively shuts down Gordon for Thursday’s home game against the Cavaliers and the game Friday against the Knicks.
Gordon, entering his tenth NBA season, has been the Bobcats’ second-leading scorer this preseason, averaging 10.4 points. He is in the final season of his currently contract, making $13.2 million.
