Alec Burks underwent arthroscopic procedure
Following multiple medical consultations, Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure Tuesday to debride his left ankle. The procedure was performed in New York City by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Martin O’Malley.
Burks will return to Salt Lake City to begin his rehabilitation and will remain out indefinitely. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
The sixth-year guard averaged 13.3 points on a career-best 40.5 percent three-point shooting, with 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 25.7 minutes per game during the 2015-16 season.
