Highest-rated Finals ever through four games
The 2015 NBA Finals between Cleveland and Golden State is the most-watched and highest-rated NBA Finals ever on ABC through four games, according to Nielsen, averaging 18,896,000 viewers (P2+) and a 11.0 U.S. household rating, up 24 and 28 percent, respectively, from last year's Miami-San Antonio series (14,748,000; 8.9).
Thursday's Game 4 -- in which the Golden State Warriors evened the series at two games apiece with a convincing 103-82 victory in Cleveland -- averaged 19.8 million viewers, the largest audience for a Game 4 on ABC in more than a decade.
The broadcast peaked on ABC with 23,407,000 viewers from 11:15-11:30 p.m. ET. Additionally, Game 4 was up 34 percent from 14,796,000 viewers for last year's Game 4.
