Raptors beat Knicks for best preseason record
DeMar DeRozan scored 15 points, Jonas Valanciunas added 13, and Toronto beat the New York Knicks 83-80 on Friday night at the Bell Centre in the final preseason game for both teams.
Kyle Lowry also had 12 points for the Raptors (7-1), who won six straight in the preseason and matched their exhibition victory record of seven.
Carmelo Anthony had 24 points for the Knicks (3-4), and Amare Stoudemire had 11 points and six rebounds.
Grizzlies 98 Heat 104
Chris Bosh scored 21 points, Dwyane Wade added 16, and the Heat defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 104-98 on Friday night.
The Heat bench pushed the lead to 17 early in the fourth quarter. Despite Memphis pulling within 94-91 near the 4-minute mark, the Grizzlies were unable to get closer.
Jon Leuer led the Grizzlies with 21 points, while Vince Carter added 13, including connecting on all three of his 3-pointers.
Bulls 112 Timberwolves 113
Minnesota closed the preseason with a 113-112 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night.
Derrick Rose looked ready to go, leading Chicago (4-4) with 27 points and five assists while playing nearly 32 minutes.
Ricky Rubio led the Timberwolves with 19 points, five assists and two steals. Minnesota (5-2) won its last four in the preseason.
Magic 92 Mavericks 117
Chandler Parsons scored 24 points, and Dirk Nowitzki added 16 as the Mavericks ran away with a 117-92 win over the Magic on Friday.
Dallas (4-4) rested its starters Thursday and played refreshed, pushing its lead above 20 in the third quarter. Orlando (4-4) didn't help itself, posting a preseason-high 26 turnovers.
Tobias Harris led the Magic with 14 points.
