The Chicago Bulls announced today the team has claimed guard David Nwaba off waivers.
Nwaba (6-4, 209) was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers on July 12.
He appeared in 20 games (two starts) for the Lakers last season and averaged 6.0 points and 3.1 rebounds in 19.9 minutes.
The Los Angeles native played three seasons at Cal Poly, where he posted career averages of 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 26.0 minutes.
