Knicks' Joakim Noah expected to miss 6 months after surgery
New York Knicks center Joakim Noah had right shoulder surgery on Wednesday to repair his rotator cuff, the team announced.
The procedure, performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, is expected to sideline Noah for 6 months.
Noah, a former All-Star center, had similar surgery last year with the Chicago Bulls that limited him to 29 games.
The Knicks are hoping that Noah will be available for the start of training camp in late September.
