Lakers sign David Nwaba to 10-day contract

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard/forward David Nwaba to a 10-day contract, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

Nwaba joins the Lakers from the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, where he played 38 games (29 starts), averaging 13.9 points (.645 FG%), 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 assists in 29.0 minutes.

In 10 games played in February, Nwaba tallied 21.1 points (.656 FG%), 8.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 assists in 34.2 minutes.

The 6’5’’ Los Angeles native graduated from University High School in L.A., before attending Cal Poly- San Luis Obispo.
