Pelicans sign NBADL guard Anthony Brown
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed guard/forward Anthony Brown.
Brown, 6-7, 211, most recently played for the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League after being selected by the club with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft.
Brown appeared in three games for Erie, averaging 29.3 points on .558 shooting from the field, including .650 from three-point range, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 41.5 minutes per game.
Originally selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 34th overall pick out of Stanford University in the 2015 NBA Draft, Brown appeared in 29 games (11 starts) with the Lakers during the 2015-16 season, averaging 4.0 points and 2.4 points in 20.7 minutes per contest.
Brown will wear #21 for the Pelicans. New Orleans’ roster currently stands at 15.
