Cavs sign former Net Markel Brown, give him chance to make team in camp
The Cleveland Cavaliers have invited former Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Markel Brown to training camp.
Brown, 24, has played the last two seasons in Brooklyn, averaging 5.3 points on 38.2 percent from the field, including 29.7 percent from 3-point range in 109 career games.
The 6-foot-3 swingman became expendable after the Nets drafted Caris LeVert and Isaiah Whitehead to go along with mainstays Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Bojan Bogdanovic on the perimeter.
