Grizzlies waive Xavier Munford, claim Tony Wroten

The Grizzlies are parting ways with point guard Xavier Munford, according to Bleacher Report, and claimed former first-round pick Tony Wroten off waivers, according to ESPN.

Memphis released Munford on Saturday afternoon. Memphis had a team option that would have paid Munford $874,000 for the 2016-17 season.

The New York Knicks waived Wroten last week after they traded for Derrick Rose.
