Pelicans shut down Anthony Davis for remainder of season
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Anthony Davis will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season with a left knee injury and a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Davis will undergo procedures to correct both injuries at a later date. Additional details will be announced appropriately.
In 61 games this season, Davis, 6-10, 253, has averaged 24.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Davis is currently the only player in the NBA to be averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks per contest, as well as the only player to be ranked in the top 10 in the NBA for points, rebounds and blocks per game.
In 260 career regular season games, Davis has averaged 20.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
