Knicks announce deal with guard Tony Wroten
New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that the team has signed guard Tony Wroten. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wroten, 6-6, 205-pounds, holds career averages of 11.1 points, on 41.3-percent shooting, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds over 21.2 minutes in 145 games (34 starts) in four seasons with Memphis and Philadelphia.
This season, he averaged 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 18.0 minutes in eight games with Philadelphia before being waived on Dec. 24.
The Seattle, WA-native was originally selected by Memphis with the 25th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft following his freshman season at the University of Washington.
