Suns to buy out Kris Humphries' contract
One of the shortest stints for a Suns starter in franchise history will come to an end Sunday with a contract buyout for Kris Humphries.
The timing enables him to latch on with a contender before Tuesday's waiver eligibility deadline for him to be on a new team's playoff roster.
Sheridanhoops.com reported that Atlanta is the favorite to acquire Humphries, whom the Suns had acquired in the Markieff Morris trade at the Feb. 18 deadline.
In four Suns appearances, Humphries averaged 7.3 points and 8.0 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game with 27.8 percent shooting from the field.
