Maryland guard Dion Wiley to undergo knee surgery
Maryland will have its backcourt depth tested early this season, as the school announced on Saturday that backup sophomore guard Dion Wiley will undergo surgery this week to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
The school did not give a timetable for his return, and noted that the injury occurred in practice on Thursday.
Wiley averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game last season in his freshman year.
