Knicks waive 5 players

New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that the team has waived forwards Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Darion Atkins and DaJuan Summers, guard Travis Trice II and guard/forward Wesley Saunders.

Antetokounmpo, 6-7, 205-pounds, played in three preseason games, recording four rebounds and two assists over 13 minutes.

Atkins, 6-8, 235-pounds, appeared in three preseason games.

Summers, 6-8, 230-pounds, averaged 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds over 5.8 minutes in four preseason games.

Trice, 6-0, 170-pounds, scored four total points over 14 minutes in two preseason games.

Saunders, 6-5, 210-pounds, appeared in two preseason games.
