Atlanta Hawks waive Austin Daye

The Hawks waived Austin Daye on Thursday, clearing the way for a series of moves that can be made now that the NBA mortatorium is over.

Daye signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Hawks in April after playing out two 10-day contracts with the Hawks.

The forward appeared in eight games for the Hawks and averaged 3.3 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.5 minutes.
