Damian Lillard agrees to five-year max extension with Blazers
Damian Lillard and the Blazers reached verbal agreement on a maximum long-term contract extension on Thursday, ensuring that the two-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year will remain in a Blazers uniform for the foreseeable future.
The deal, confirmed by Lillard's agent, Aaron Goodwin, will kick in at the start of the 2016-17 season, span five years and pay the 6-foot-3 point guard more than $120 million. He could be in a Blazers uniform through the 2020-21 season.
