Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery
Heat guard Mario Chalmers underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Friday, but is scheduled for a full return by the start of preseason training camp, according to the team.
Chalmers had surgery on his right knee to relieve inflammation. The minor procedure lasted 20 minutes. The inflammation in Chalmers’ knee began during the season, but he played through the pain while the Heat sputtered down the stretch.
"Surgery was a success, now time to rehab, start workin out," Chalmers wrote on Twitter.
