Michigan star has hip surgery, out 4-5 months

Michigan guard Spike Albrecht faces 4 to 5 months of rehab after having surgery on his right hip.

The Wolverines announced Wednesday that Albrecht had the operation at University of Michigan hospital. He may consider a similar procedure on his left hip later in the offseason.

Albrecht started 18 games last season, averaging 7.5 points and 32 minutes.
