Chicago's Derrick Rose out again with knee injury, needs surgery
Derrick Rose reported Tuesday with right knee pain. An exam and subsequent MRI confirmed a medial meniscus tear of the right knee.
Surgery will be scheduled, after which a timeline for his return will be determined.
Rose had played the last 19 consecutive games even with minutes restrictions taken off and even had played more than 40 minutes in three of the last 11 games.
Even though there had been questions and second guessing about his play, Rose was averaging a very respectable 18.2 points and five assists per game.
