Louisville suspends guard Chris Jones for violating team rules

Louisville has suspended senior guard Chris Jones for a violation of team rules, leaving the No. 12 Cardinals without their assists leader and third-leading scorer for Wednesday night's ACC game at Syracuse.

The school's brief release Tuesday night did not specify what rule Jones broke or how long his suspension will last.

Jones is averaging 13.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and a team-best 3.7 assists per game for the Cardinals (20-5, 8-4 ACC).
