Pittsburgh freshman Cameron Johnson to have shoulder surgery

Pittsburgh freshman forward Cameron Johnson is out for the rest of the year with a shoulder injury.

Coach Jamie Dixon said Friday that Johnson will undergo surgery soon and the team will apply for a medical redshirt.

Johnson averaged 4.5 points in eight games before injuring the shoulder during practice in November.
