Ricky Rubio's injury 'worse' than ankle sprain
After nearly 11 weeks out, head coach Flip Saunders told reporters that Ricky Rubio's healing process has been hindered due to Rubio tearing some of the muscles and ligaments in his foot while suffering that high ankle sprain.
That has also caused Rubio pain in his toes and has made the rehab process difficult.
According to Saunders, the team has spoken to two specialists and both have said that a premature return could result in a stress fracture due to a bone bruise.
As of now, his status remains out indefinitely.
