PF Ivan Bender joins Terps, can play immediately

Maryland has added forward Ivan Bender, a Bosnia and Herzegovina native who will be eligible immediately for the Terrapins.

The 6-foot-9 Bender played with KK Split in the Junior Euroleague, averaging 14.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He also was a member of the U-18 Croatian National Team, putting up 10.3 points and 5.3 rebounds at the 2013 FIBA U-19 World Championships.
