LeBron James, Stephen Curry lead NBA All-Star voting
LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and John Wall of the Washington Wizards top the Eastern Conference, while Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans lead the Western Conference after the first returns of NBA All-Star Balloting 2015 presented by Sprint.
James, in his first season back with the Cavaliers, is the overall leader with 552,967 votes, while Curry is second with 549,095 votes. The 64th NBA All-Star Game will tip off Sunday, Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
James, the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony (265,170) and the Chicago Bulls' Pau Gasol (247,953) pace the Eastern Conference's frontcourt players. Wall (299,209) is the East's leading vote-getter in the backcourt, followed by the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade (265,917).
Curry, whose stellar play has led Golden State (23-4) to the league's best record, is currently joined in the West backcourt by the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant (521,542). Davis (524,623), the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin (307,908) and the Memphis Grizzlies' Marc Gasol (227,554) lead all Western Conference frontcourt players.
