Ellis helps Mavs sink Spurs in Rondo's debut
Monta Ellis equaled his season high with 38 points, including 11 during the final four minutes, as the Mavericks rallied late to beat the depleted San Antonio Spurs 99-93.
Ellis broke a 93-93 tie with a driving basket with 1:48 to play to give Dallas the lead for good. The Spurs dropped their fourth straight, including three-overtime games on Wednesday and Friday.
Rajon Rondo, the four-time All-Star who played his first eight-plus seasons with the Boston Celtics, scored six points on 3-for-11 shooting. Acquired Thursday in a multi-player trade, he had nine assists and seven rebounds.
Marco Belinelli led San Antonio with 21 points. Aron Baynes added a career-high 16 points.
Pacers 73 Nuggets 76
Danilo Gallinari scored 19 points, including a 3-pointer to spark the critical fourth-quarter run, and the Nuggets hung on to beat the Indiana Pacers.
Ty Lawson added 15 points and 10 assists for the Nuggets, who won games on successive nights after losing six of seven coming into the back-to-back set.
David West had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pacers, who lost for the 10th time in 11 games.
Bucks 102 Clippers 106
Chris Paul scored nine of his 27 points in the final 4:04 and Blake Griffin added 24 to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 106-102 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Former Clipper Jared Dudley grabbed the offensive rebound, and the Bucks took a timeout before Brandon Knight missed a 21-footer with 31 seconds to play. Milwaukee had one more chance to pull it out after Griffin's clutch tip-in, but Khris Middleton missed a desperation 3-pointer as time expired.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 18 points and nine rebounds.
