Knicks stop 10-game slide with win over Celtics
Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points, Amar'e Stoudemire had 20 and the Knicks snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 101-95 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
Tim Hardaway Jr. added 16 points and Jason Smith 12 as New York snapped its longest losing streak since the 2005-06 team lost 10 straight from Jan. 28 to Feb. 13 en route to a 23-59 record.
Jeff Green had 28 points and Tyler Zeller 19 for the Celtics, who dropped their third straight.
Pacers 94 Raptors 106
Jonas Valanciunas had 10 points and 14 rebounds, Lou Williams scored 26 and the Toronto Raptors beat Indiana, handing the slumping Pacers their seventh straight loss.
Williams connected on 9 of 18 attempts, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range, and added four rebounds and three assists.
Solomon Hill scored 16 and C.J. Watson and Rodney Stuckey each had 13 for the Pacers, whose seven-game losing streak is their longest since an eight-game skid from Dec. 18-30, 2009.
Sixers 70 Nets 88
The Brooklyn Nets completely dominated the fourth quarter, holding their opponents to only 10 points on the way to an 88-70 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Mason Plumlee scored a season-high 18 points and added 10 rebounds for the Nets. They held the 76ers to 25 second-half points, tying the lowest second-half total for any opponent in franchise history.
Robert Covington led all scorers with 20 points. Michael Carter-Williams added 14 points and nine assists.
