Sharp-shooting Gasol leads Grizzlies by Clippers
Marc Gasol had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 107-91 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night.
The victory left Memphis with the league's best record (12-2) behind a more aggressive Gasol, who is complementing his jumper with moves to the basket this season. Six Grizzlies reached double figures.
Chris Paul led the Clippers with 22 points, five assists and four steals, Jamal Crawford scored 19, and J.J. Redick finished with 15, going 3-of-6 from outside the arc.
Warriors 91 Thunder 86
Journeyman forward Marreese Speights scored 28 points to help the Warriors beat Oklahoma City 91-86. It matched the second-highest scoring game of Speights' career and was his best total since 2009.
Klay Thompson scored 20 points and Stephen Curry added 15 for the Warriors (10-2), who won despite shooting a season-low 35.5 percent from the field.
Reggie Jackson had 22 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, and Anthony Morrow added 16 points and matched a career high with 12 rebounds for Oklahoma City.
Nuggets 101 Lakers 94 (OT)
Wilson Chandler scored 19 points, Ty Lawson had 18 points and 16 assists, and the Nuggets limited the Los Angeles Lakers to two field goals in the final 8:15 for a 101-94 overtime victory.
Arron Afflalo added 15 points for the Nuggets, who have won five of six following a 1-6 start that was capped by consecutive double-digit losses to Portland.
The Lakers began a four-game homestand with their seventh straight loss to the Nuggets, despite 27 points from Kobe Bryant.
