Pelicans exercise fourth-year option on Anthony Davis
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has exercised the fourth-year option on Anthony Davis.
Davis, the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of the University of Kentucky, has appeared in 131 games in his first two seasons, holding career averages of 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.
During the 2013-14 season, Davis averaged 20.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and a league-leading 2.8 blocks on his way to earning his first All-Star selection.
