Timberwolves want to unload guard J.J. Barea
The Minnesota Timberwolves want to cut ties with point guard J.J. Barea and failed to trade him to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Zgoda added that he thinks Barea will be waived if Minnesota can't move him.
The writing was on the wall for this about a month ago when the Wolves picked up Mo Williams in free agency. Williams will become the backup point guard behind Ricky Rubio.
