Georgia boots Morris after felony pot charge

Georgia forward Brandon Morris was dismissed from the team on Monday following a felony charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Morris was arrested by Athens-Clarke County police and booked in jail at 3:21 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to the Clarke County Jail's online booking report. He was released on $2,500 bond on Sunday afternoon.

Georgia coach Mark Fox announced the decision on Monday morning.
