Nation's top scorer Mason to transfer from Niagara
Niagara guard Antoine Mason announced on Wednesday that he was planning to look elsewhere for his final season of eligibility. He graduated earlier this month and will be eligible to play at another school immediately.
Mason averaged 25.6 points last season, ranking second in the country behind Creighton's Doug McDermott.
The 6-foot-3 Queens native finished his Niagara career as the school's third all-time leading scorer. Mason is the son of former New York Knick Anthony Mason and brother of former St. John's star Anthony Mason Jr.
