Cavs GM says Irving not behind Brown firing
There is much more to come on the Cavaliers coaching search, but new General Manager David Griffin wanted to make one thing clear about the firing of Mike Brown: Kyrie Irving had nothing to do with it.
Shooting down a national story line that was being advanced yesterday and pounding the table for emphasis, Griffin said, "Any -- any -- insinuation that Kyrie had anything to do with this decision is patently false. It's unfair. He was not counseled on this decision, nor was he counseled on the previous coaching decision."
