Gonzaga signs son of ex-NBA star Arvydas Sabonis

Domantas Sabonis, the son of former Blazers great Arvydas Sabonis, will attend college and play basketball for Gonzaga University, Jim Meehan of the Spokane Spokesman-Review reported today.

The 6-foot-11, 215-pound forward should help the Bulldogs right away. The past year, he played for Unicaja of the Spanish ACB, but he never signed a professional contract in order to keep his NCAA eligibility.
