Knicks don't have pieces to make trade
Thursday’s trading deadline represents the first significant date of Steve Mills’ tenure as president of the Knicks.
With 30 games left and the Knicks sitting in 10th place in the East with a 20-32 record, Thursday provides Mills with perhaps the last chance to salvage a season that is spiraling downward.
The Knicks are definitely in the market for point guard help but there are few realistic options available. The Knicks are open to trading Iman Shumpert but since the shooting guard is still on his rookie contract, it is difficult to find a trading partner unless the Knicks add another player.
