Lakers center Robert Sacre fouls out, allowed to continue playing
The Los Angeles Lakers barely have enough players to field a team right now. Coach Mike D’Antoni had just eight players at his disposal Wednesday night in Cleveland.
To make matters worse for the Lakers, Nick Young twisted his ankle and Jordan Farmar injured his left calf, and both needed to leave the game. Chris Kaman fouled out with 8:29 left in the fourth quarter, leaving the Lakers with 5 players.
Robert Sacre picked up his sixth foul with 3:31 left in the game, causing mass confusion. NBA rules state that a team cannot have fewer than five players, so Sacre was allowed to continue playing with 6 fouls.
The Lakers went on to beat the Cavs, 119-108.
