NBA roundup: Pacers repel Warriors' rally, win 5th straight

Paul George scored 23 points to go with four rebounds and two assists, and the NBA-leading Pacers built a big lead before holding off the Warriors 102-94 Monday night for their fifth straight win.
The Pacers (33-7) went ahead by 20 in the third quarter, watched the Warriors whittle the lead to two and then regrouped in the closing minutes to open the five-game West Coast trip with a victory.
Roy Hibbert had 14 points and 13 rebounds, David West added 17 points and Lance Stephenson finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to help the Pacers pull away for good.
Stephen Curry had 24 points and nine assists, and David Lee had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the streaky Warriors, who have lost four of six since winning 10 in a row.
Grizzlies 92 Pelicans 95
Anthony Davis scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Pelicans won for only the second time in January, claiming a 95-92 victory over Memphis.
The Pelicans have won all three games against the Grizzlies this season, the only three games New Orleans has won in the Southwest Division. Meanwhile, Memphis has lost all 10 games against teams in the division.
Tyreke Evans added 15 points, 11 of them in the fourth quarter. He also had seven assists. Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 23 points and a season-high 20 rebounds, Courtney Lee had 19 points and Marc Gasol finished with 14 points.
Bobcats 100 Raptors 95
Al Jefferson sat at his locker pondering how the Charlotte Bobcats nearly surrendered a 30-point lead they held late in the third quarter.
Despite the big lead, Jefferson and Bobcats didn't breathe a sigh of relief until Ramon Sessions knocked down two free throws with 1.6 seconds left to secure a 100-95 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
Jefferson became the first Bobcats player to record a double-double in the first quarter and finished with 22 points, 19 rebounds and a season-high seven assists. DeMar DeRozan had 25 points and Kyle Lowry had 21 for the Atlantic Division-leading Raptors.
Cavaliers 97 Mavericks 102
Monta Ellis scored 22 points, Shawn Marion added 18 and the Mavericks had six players in double figures, but the game was in doubt until the final seconds.
Trailing 100-97 with 2.8 seconds remaining, the Cavaliers were called for a five-second violation when Jarrett Jack failed to get the ball inbounds. Ellis put the game away with two free throws with 1.1 seconds left.
Kyrie Irving led Cleveland with 26 points. Luol Deng, acquired from Chicago on Jan. 7, scored 20 points in his first home game with the Cavaliers while Anderson Varejao had 18 points with 21 rebounds.
Pistons 103 Clippers 112
DeAndre Jordan had 16 points and 21 rebounds -- dunking seven times with a layup -- and the Los Angeles Clippers breezed to a 112-103 victory over the Pistons on Monday.
Blake Griffin added 25 points and Jamal Crawford scored 26 for the Clippers, who are now 6-2 since losing star point guard Chris Paul to a shoulder injury. Rodney Stuckey scored 29 points for Detroit and Josh Smith added 24. Brandon Jennings went scoreless.

Bradley Beal had 22 points -- 13 of them in the second quarter when Washington built a 10-point halftime lead. He also had nine rebounds, a season high, and eight assists, equaling his career best.
Marcin Gortat had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Seraphin had 16 points for Washington. John Wall added 14.
