Sixers request waivers on Daniel Orton

The Philadelphia 76ers today announced that they have waived center Daniel Orton.

Orton (6-10, 255) signed as a free agent with Philadelphia on October 16, 2013 and appeared in 22 games with four starts.

The 23-year-old center was averaging 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds this season.
