LIU Brooklyn's Boyd tears ACL for the third time, season over
LIU Brooklyn's Julian Boyd has torn his right ACL for the third time since December 2012, Blackbirds coach Jack Perri told CBSSports.com on Friday.
The 6-7 forward will miss the rest of the season and his career with the NEC school is officially over.
He first sustained the injury eight games into the 2012-13 season, then re-tore the same ACL again this past July.
Boyd was named NEC Player of the Year in 2012 and averaged 18.5 points and 6.1 rebounds during that season.
