Pelicans' Anthony Davis out 4-to-6 weeks with broken hand
The broken left hand suffered by New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis in Sunday's victory against the New York Knicks will sideline Davis for 4 to 6 weeks, the team announced Tuesday.
Davis, who underwent further evaluation by team doctors on Tuesday morning, was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metacarpal of his left hand. The fracture, which is in his pinky finger, is on Davis' non-shooting hand.
Davis injured his hand when he slammed it on the rim during an alley-oop attempt in the 103-99 victory against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York.
