Dream make Michael Cooper head coach
The Atlanta Dream have named former NBA player and WNBA champion coach Michael Cooper as their new coach.
Cooper takes over for Fred Williams, who was relieved of his duties after Atlanta was swept by Minnesota in the WNBA Finals.
Cooper won five NBA titles as a player with the Los Angeles Lakers. He played for the Lakers from 1978-1990 and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team eight times.
