Forte-Brown duo propels Oklahoma State
Three victories by an average of 47 points to open the season can hardly be categorized as a test for eighth-ranked Oklahoma State. That all changes next week when the Cowboys host No. 13 Memphis.
Phil Forte and Markel Brown each scored 22 points as the Cowboys tuned up Friday night by beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 97-63.
"Memphis is one of the most talented teams in the country," Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford said. "This is a really good early test for both of our teams."
Marcus Smart added 16 points for the Cowboys (3-0). Le'Bryan Nash had nine points and a game-high eight rebounds.
