Elijah Thomas, a senior who is ranked No. 8 among forwards in the ESPN 100, threw on a Texas A&M bucket hat in front of a packed house for one simple reason: “I wanted the No. 1 recruiting class.”
Thomas joins Plano West (Plano, Texas) teammates Tyler Davis and D.J. Hogg and James Madison (Dallas) shooting guard Admon Gilder to form the Aggies 2015 recruiting class so far.
“I feel like we’ve got it now,” Thomas said. “I’m not big on rankings and all that stuff, but with what we’ve got so far I think it’s the top class right now. All of us play great together and we’ve got chemistry."
