Maryland forward Evan Smotrycz will be out 4-6 weeks with a fractured foot, the school announced on Sunday.
Smotrycz broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot at practice on Friday and will have surgery this week.
It's a pretty big blow for the program, as Smotrycz was likely to be their starting power forward after averaging 11.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season.
