The Washington Wizards announced Thursday that they have waived center Daniel Orton with three preseason games remaining.
Orton, 24, did not appear in a preseason contest. He was sidelined by a calf injury during Washington’s three-game road trip last week, but said he was available Sunday against the Pistons and Wednesday opposite Maccabi Haifa.
Washington’s roster stands at 17 players.
