The 76ers waived Andrei Kirilenko on Saturday. This action came more than two months after the Kirilenko refused to report to the Sixers after being acquired in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 11.
Before Saturday the Sixers had been unwilling to release the 6-foot-9, 235-pounder from his expiring contract.
